The Trebnje lions will open the 9th round of the NLB League on Wednesday. In their home arena, they will face an exciting matchup as they host the team from Novo mesto, Krka, in the Dolenjska derby.
In the previous round, the team coached by Radoslav Stojanovik had to settle for just one point during their away match in Škofja Loka. The latter proved to be a quite challenging opponent, but all thoughts are already directed towards the next clash. On Wednesday, at 19:30, the two Dolenjska rivals, RK Trimo Trebnje and MRK Krka Novo mesto, will go head-to-head. Krka, led by Mirko Skoko for some time now, recently returned from Serbia with a victory against Metaloplastika, securing a good starting position for the return match in the EHF European Cup.

It is true that this draw threw us a bit off track, as we all really wanted to continue our winning streak. We deserve it because we know we train hard all the time and are aware of our quality; our coach always reminds us of that. Our fans deserve a victory in this derby even more, as they give us incredible motivation and support from game to game, and I would like to take this moment to pay tribute to them. You are the best!
